i've been painting this all day, and i couldn't wait to post it.
for this second entry i chose DEATH as a planar theme. i'm really happy of the way it turned out, and i think this one is quite better than the first entry, but well, i'm not gonna judge it...
anyways, i've tried to create something a bit more abstract and creepy but at the same time add some symbology like the scissors and that thing to use puppets. also the idea was that it would be a statue from the feet to the weist and that he could only move the thoracic cavity and the arms and heads. my fav part is the way that the arms become sleeves.
I really hope you like it. and if it doesn't win, at least i could use this as BLACK-DEATH-BROOTAL-METAL CD cover.
This is pretty br00tal dude XD I;ll tell ya' what. If I ever find myself a band (drummer for 5 years, bassist and guitarist for 1) then your the first person I'll call for an album cover hahahaha.
Well, I really like this one, but I have to say, I hope it doesn't win... With the puppet-thing, the developers are likely to make it into a mind-control fight, and I hate mind-control fights. >.>
Seriously, though, I love all the little details, like how his spine is all arcane-machinery, the bones are cracking, his ribcage has piercings, and OMGWTF is that a third eye on the... FACE ON HIS SHOULDER?! How did I not see that at first? Phenomenal job, good luck in the contest. Hopefully I'll be back around to complain that your wonderful art created an impossibly difficult monster.
